例の「国葬」の時、私は観光旅行をしておりました。新聞で全文を読みました。菅義偉、岸田文雄の追悼演説では、首席は該当作なし、ですね。コンテストではありませんが、勝ち負けを論じると、菅のKO勝ちですね。立場が違うので内容が違うのは当然でしょう。それを加味しても、演説を通してみる岸田文雄という人間の薄さにはガッカリとしました。昔から、腰が低いというか、少し控え目なものの言い方をする人間だと私は感じておりましたが、それは爪を隠していたのではなく、その程度の器であったということでしょう。片や法政大学、片や早稲田大学、両方とも昼間の学部。（かつて菅は夜学出身との話がありましたが、本人が否定。）誰でもが抱く大学の看板のイメージをかくまで見事に裏切るというのも珍しいことでしょう。あるいは、岸田はスピーチライター（官房スタッフ？）から既に、面従腹背（ふくはい）を食らっている？
